The Argentine Ambassador to Portugal, Jorge Faurie, hosted a reception in Lisbon – at the Jerónimos Monastery – for the Argentine community in Portugal and a group of guests.

IPDAL was represented by the Presidents of the Board and the Supervisory Board. In his speech, Ambassador Faurie surveyed the 200 years of Argentine history and the relations between that country and Portugal.

He recalled that Portugal was the first country in the world to recognize the Republic of Argentina. Several ambassadors accredited in Portugal were present at the Reception. National Day was celebrated on May 25, 2010.
