Africa Forum – Global Connection

The President of the Institute for the Promotion of Latin America and the Caribbean, Paulo Neves, participated in the Africa Forum – Global Connection, held in Lisbon and organized by the CPLP Business Confederation (CE-CPLP), an institutional partner of IPDAL, in a meeting dedicated to reflecting on the challenges, opportunities, and development strategies for the African continent within the current international landscape.

The event brought together institutional representatives, business leaders, academics, diplomats, and experts from various sectors to discuss key issues for Africa’s future, including international investment, sustainability, technological innovation, industrialization, agriculture, tourism, and the strengthening of economic and political relations between different regions of the world.

As part of the panel “Global Partnerships: Mobilizing Capital for African Priorities,” Paulo Neves highlighted the role of economic diplomacy and multilateral cooperation in creating sustainable, long-term solutions for the development of the African continent. His intervention also emphasized the importance of building strategic networks among institutions, companies, and international organizations capable of promoting greater stability, economic growth, and closer ties between continents.

IPDAL’s participation in this forum reinforces the institution’s commitment to promoting international dialogue and developing initiatives that bring Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe closer together, fostering cooperative relations based on knowledge sharing, sustainable development, and the strengthening of multilateral relations.
