The Institute for the Promotion of Latin America and the Caribbean (IPDAL) held another edition of the Latin American Sunset Party on 15 July 2025 at Restaurant Eleven in Lisbon. This event has become a tradition on the summer diplomatic and business calendar, bringing together high-level representatives from the diplomatic corps, government, academia, the media, and the business sector.

This year, the guest country was the Dominican Republic, which contributed exceptionally to the success of the event with a showcase of traditional drinks, gastronomy, and cultural performances that delighted all those present. IPDAL extends its deepest gratitude to the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Portugal and to its Ambassador, Mrs Patricia Villegas de Jorge, for the enthusiasm and dedication devoted to this partnership.

The initiative also benefited from the generous support of Iberia and Selores Douro, whose contributions were essential in ensuring the success of this gathering.

IPDAL warmly thanks the Ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps, Members of Parliament, as well as all the friends and institutional partners of IPDAL who joined this celebration of the ties between Portugal and Latin America. Your presence strengthens the bonds of friendship, trust and cooperation that unite our countries.
