IPDAL participates in the Madrid & Buenos Aires Business Meeting

IPDAL took part in the Madrid & Buenos Aires Business Meeting, held at ArtHaus in Buenos Aires on 3 November, bringing together political, business and institutional leaders from both sides of the Atlantic to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the Ibero-American economy. This participation took place within the mission of IPDAL’s Secretary-General, Gastón Ocampo, to Argentina, aimed at strengthening institutional relations and deepening Ibero-American economic dialogue.

The event featured prominent figures from the public and private sectors, including the Head of Government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Jorge Macri; the Mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida; Gerardo Bongiovanni, President of Fundación Libertad; and Hernán Lombardi, Minister of Economic Development of Buenos Aires. Representatives from the Argentine and Spanish governments, business leaders and multilateral organisations were also present. Their contributions highlighted the importance of bilateral investment, innovation, urban mobility and strategic cooperation between global cities.

The sessions addressed key themes such as competitiveness, urban transformation, digital innovation, sustainable mobility and business leadership, with contributions from leading experts and decision-makers from both the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America.

IPDAL’s participation reinforces the Institute’s commitment to strengthening ties between the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America, promoting economic dialogue, institutional cooperation and initiatives that contribute to a more integrated, innovative and sustainable Ibero-American economy.
