IPDAL participates in the I Ibero-American Future Congress

IPDAL took part in the I Ibero-American Future Congress, organised by the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB) and the Encuentros del Futuro Foundation (Chile), which took place on 30 and 31 October in Madrid. The event brought together leading experts to discuss essential issues concerning the global future, such as the new international order, the crisis of democracy, smart cities, neuro-rights, and the role of education in the age of artificial intelligence.

This first edition, designed with the intention of continuity, featured the presence of His Majesty the King of Spain at the 31 October session, highlighting the strategic importance of the meeting for the Ibero-American space.

Among the participants were highly relevant international figures, such as Nadia Calviño, President of the European Investment Bank (via video); Susana Malcorra, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Argentina and President of GWL Voices; Josep Borrell, former EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy; José Luis Martínez-Almeida, Mayor of Madrid; Serge Haroche, Nobel Prize in Physics 2012; Guido Girardi, founder of Chile’s Future Congress; José Manuel Albares, Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Teresa Ribera, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission for the Energy Transition.

On the sidelines of the Congress, the President of IPDAL, Dr Paulo Neves, held meetings with the Ibero-American Secretary-General, Andrés Allamand, as well as with the Ibero-American Secretary of State, strengthening institutional dialogue and identifying opportunities for future cooperation between IPDAL and SEGIB.

IPDAL’s participation in the Congress and these parallel meetings reflect the Institute’s commitment to strategic Ibero-American reflection and to promoting initiatives that contribute to a more innovative, inclusive, and cooperative future within the Ibero-American space.
