The Institute for the Promotion of Latin America and the Caribbean (IPDAL) attended the 2026 Chinese New Year celebrations, marked as the Year of the Horse, which took place on February 12 at the emblematic Salão Preto e Prata of Casino Estoril.

The event brought together institutional representatives, diplomats, and guests from various sectors, providing a moment of cultural celebration and strengthening ties between Portugal and China, and was attended by Yang Yirui, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Portugal. The programme included a dinner and a performance inspired by Chinese traditions, highlighting the cultural and symbolic richness of this important festivity.
