IPDAL participated in the presentation of the results of the SEGIB–Camões–Fundación PAD Triangular Cooperation Fund, an initiative that promotes joint projects between Latin America, Europe and Africa. The session was part of the programme of the 9th International Meeting on Triangular Co-operation, which this year highlighted the role of triangular partnerships in promoting progress despite the challenges currently faced by development co-operation.
Among the results presented, special emphasis was given to the digital transformation project in São Tomé and Príncipe, led by IPDAL along Fundación Pais Abierto y Digital (Argentina). The initiative has strengthened local capacities, promoted technological innovation and contributed to reducing inequalities through the digitalisation of services and processes.
The international meeting, composed of plenary sessions, working groups and side events, brought together representatives from the private sector, development agencies, ministries, funds, philanthropic organisations, banks and international financial institutions. This format facilitated open exchange of experiences and the creation of practical solutions based on the accumulated knowledge of the triangular cooperation community.
Participants explored ways to turn into concrete action the commitments made at the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4), held in July in Spain. The common goal is to deepen learning, expand partnerships and strengthen links between governments, organisations and financial institutions across different regions of the world.
IPDAL’s presence at this session reinforces its role as a strategic ally in promoting biregional cooperation, supporting sustainable development policies, economic diplomacy and initiatives that connect Portugal, Latin America, Europe and Africa through collaborative solutions.
