IPDAL congratulates Suzi Barbosa on being awarded the Order of Isabella the Catholic

IPDAL congratulates Suzi Barbosa, member of the advisory board of our institute, on being awarded the Order of Isabella the Catholic, granted by the Government of Spain in recognition of her contribution to strengthening diplomatic, cultural and institutional relations between Portugal, Spain and the Ibero-American community.

This distinction, one of the most prestigious honours of the Spanish state, celebrates individuals who stand out in the promotion of international cooperation and in building bridges between peoples and institutions. Suzi Barbosa, with a career marked by public service, cultural diplomacy and the promotion of dialogue between countries, thus sees her continuous commitment to bringing the Iberian space closer to the Lusophone world duly recognised.

Throughout her collaboration with IPDAL, Suzi Barbosa has been an active advocate of multilateral cooperation, leading our representation in Africa together with Nelma Fernandes, President of CE-CPLP. The award further highlights the central role she plays in consolidating strategic partnerships and in fostering networks of understanding between organisations and states.
