The Institute for the Promotion of Latin America and the Caribbean was present at the official reception held on 9 February, on the occasion of the presentation of the Letters of Credence of H.E. Archbishop Andrés Carrascosa Coso, Apostolic Nuncio to Portugal and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps.

The Institute was represented by Gastón Ocampo, Secretary-General of IPDAL, at a moment of particular relevance for the diplomatic community accredited in Portugal.

As Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Archbishop Andrés Carrascosa Coso promoted an initial meeting of greetings and mutual acquaintance with the Ambassadors and Heads of Mission accredited in Portugal, accompanied by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, framing the meeting within the formal context of diplomatic relations.

IPDAL’s participation in this meeting is part of its ongoing work monitoring the diplomatic community accredited in Portugal, promoting analysis, dialogue and institutional contact with representatives of States and international organisations, in a context marked by the importance of multilateralism and diplomatic cooperation.
