EuroAmericas Forum 2025

The EuroAmericas Forum 2025 took place at Nova School of Business and Economics, in Carcavelos – Cascais, on 17 and 18 November 2025, bringing together national and international institutional figures, business leaders, philanthropists and academics from both continents.

Representing IPDAL, Carmenza Jaramillo, President of the Advisory Board, took part in the panel “Connected Cities: Trade, Technology and Urban Diplomacy”, held within the framework of the EuroAmericas Forum 2025, a strategic dialogue platform dedicated to the challenges and opportunities of cooperation between Europe and the Americas.

The EuroAmericas Forum, promoted by the Portuguese Diaspora Council, aims primarily to strengthen the Euro-American alliance by fostering reflection and debate on key issues shaping contemporary global policies.

Under the theme “Longevity: A Driver of Global Opportunities”, this second edition of the Forum proposes a comprehensive approach to the concept of longevity, understood not only as an increase in life expectancy, but also as the development of resilient healthcare systems, the promotion of sustainable cities and the creation of lasting global partnerships that strengthen democracies and economies across generations.

The panel dedicated to Connected Cities highlighted the growing role of cities as strategic actors in urban diplomacy, international trade and technological innovation, underlining the importance of multilevel cooperation in addressing shared global challenges.
