The President of the Institute for the Promotion of Latin America and the Caribbean (IPDAL), Paulo Neves, together with the Secretary General, Gastón Ocampo, took part in a special session dedicated to the theme ‘Latin America Today: A Portuguese Perspective on the Current Political Scenario’, at the invitation of Closer Consulting.

During the event, the main political challenges facing Latin America today were discussed, with emphasis on the impact of recent changes of government, rising social movements and the new economic opportunities that are emerging in the region. The analysis offered a Portuguese perspective, providing a privileged point of view on relations between Portugal and Latin American countries.

This initiative, organised by Closer Consulting, reinforces IPDAL’s commitment to contributing to an informed and strategic vision of relations between Portugal and Latin America, promoting dialogue, cooperation and mutual development in the region.
