On 29 October, the Institute for the Promotion of Latin America and the Caribbean (IPDAL) presented and delivered to the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Ana Isabel Xavier, the Policy Paper resulting from the fifth meeting of the Foreign Policy and Strategic Thinking initiative (EPPE).
The document brings together a set of strategic recommendations and contributions for Portuguese foreign policy, reflecting the analysis and debate carried out within the framework of this initiative, which seeks to promote reflection on Portugal’s international positioning and the challenges facing its external action.
The delivery of the Policy Paper represents an important milestone in the work developed through EPPE, aiming to bring the insights produced by experts and various international affairs stakeholders closer to the processes of analysis and definition of Portugal’s foreign policy priorities.
The document was presented during a Dialogue Session organised by IPDAL, with the participation of the Secretary of State and the presence of diplomatic and institutional representatives, providing an opportunity for discussion and the exchange of perspectives on Portugal’s strategic priorities in the international arena.
Through this initiative, IPDAL reaffirms its commitment to promoting strategic thinking, knowledge production and institutional dialogue, contributing to a Portuguese foreign policy that is informed, consistent and prepared to respond to the transformations of the international landscape.
