On 8 and 9 November, the Diplomatic Bazaar 2024, held in Belém, was a great success, bringing together representatives from different nations and celebrating global cultural wealth. The event, which has established itself as a unique meeting point, highlighted the diversity of traditions, flavours and artisanal products from various parts of the world.
This year, IPDAL collaborated with the Embassy of El Salvador, which presented a selection of the country’s craft products, while the Embassy of Peru brought visitors traditional clothing and accessories, allowing them to immerse themselves in the cultures of these two countries.
Among the novelties, the Doces Madeira brand stood out with its cheesecakes, a fusion of American sweets and Ecuadorian flavours, offering the public a real journey of flavours.
The event was attended by His Excellency Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, President of the Portuguese Republic, who, alongside several members of the diplomatic corps, emphasised the importance of the event as a moment of unity and celebration of the different cultures present in Portugal. Marcelo also emphasised the value of initiatives that promote cultural exchange and strengthen international ties.
The Diplomatic Bazaar 2024 was another unique opportunity for the public to explore the traditions and products of different countries, contributing to closer relations and recognising the cultural diversity that enriches Portuguese society.
