The Mayor of Braga, Ricardo Rio, was the host of the ceremony that took place on the 12th of February.

Present at the Bom Jesus Colonnade Events were the Secretary General of the Ibero-American Youth Organization, Max Trejo, the Secretary of State for Youth and Sports, João Meneses, Ambassadors and Diplomats from Latin America, among other distinguished guests.

It is worth remembering that this is the first time that a European city holds the title of Ibero-American Capital of Youth and that the President of IPDAL is part of the initiative’s Honor Committee.

During 2016, Braga will be the center of multiple cultural, academic and sporting activities with Ibero-American protagonists and inspired by this concept.
