The former President of the Republic of Uruguay, Júlio Maria Sanguinetti, received the President of IPDAL at his private residence in Montevideo.

Paulo Neves invited Sanguinetti to participate in an IPDAL initiative in Lisbon. The former President of the Republic of Uruguay accepted. During the meeting in Montevideo, Sanguinetti and Paulo Neves spoke about relations between Portugal and Uruguay and also about the current situation in Latin America and Europe. President Sanguinetti made a point of taking a guided tour of his private residence where there are several very Portuguese references.
