The Secretary of State for Innovation, Investment and Competitiveness praised the support given by IPDAL to Portuguese companies. Pedro Pereira Gonçalves also considered that the economic diplomacy work carried out by Latin American ambassadors in the Institute’s initiatives is an example for Portuguese diplomats to follow.

The government official was speaking at the Closing of the Business Forum “Portugal – Latin America: Fashion and Textile”, co-organized by the Institute, the Portuguese Textile and Clothing Association (ATP) and the Selectiva Moda Association (ASM).
On March 28th, at the Tiara Park Hotel in Porto, the Latin American Ambassadors presented the textile and clothing sector of their respective countries to the main Portuguese businesspeople in the area, highlighting the relevant business opportunities for Portugal. Several dozen Portuguese companies were present, the Executive Administrator of AICEP, José Vital Morgado, the International Business Director of Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Luís Rego, and the Vice-President of Rangel, Nuno Rangel, sponsor of this forum.
