On October 18th, another “Political Rentrée” took place at Grémio Literário, organized by IPDAL.

The guest was Martim Avillez Figueiredo, one of the most prestigious Portuguese journalists, who addressed some current topics such as the global economic situation, in particular the Portuguese situation where the new state budget is now being discussed. Some scenarios were outlined for the political, economic and social future of Portugal.

The most recent data on economic relations between Portugal and Latin American countries were also presented. IPDAL, which recently created the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies, has made available several reports on Portugal’s trade relations with Latin America and other macroeconomic reports on Portugal. Some of the reports were authored by researchers associated with IPDAL.

Several ambassadors, other diplomats, businesspeople, managers, academics, politicians and members of IPDAL were present.
