The Colombian Minister of Foreign Affairs was in Portugal on May 14th. On the morning of that day he met with Portuguese personalities linked to the business world, banking and other sectors.
IPDAL – Institute for the Promotion and Development of Latin America – participated in the meeting through the presidents of the Board and Advisory Council, respectively Paulo Neves and Minerva Lara Batista.
In his intervention, Minister Jaime Merizalde highlighted Colombia’s macroeconomic results – among the best in Latin America – and inventoried the potential areas of trade relations between Colombia and Portugal.
He also made a very detailed analysis of the current security situation in Colombia. A much better situation than in the past.
The presidents of the IPDAL Board and Advisory Council held a separate conversation with the Colombian Minister of Foreign Affairs.
