With just nine days in Lisbon, the Ambassador of Mexico, Benito Andión, was received by the President and Secretary General of IPDAL.

Paulo Neves and Filipe Domingues presented the Institute’s activities to the new Head of Mission, who was accompanied by the Minister Counsellor, Jose Manuel Castañeda, and discussed future joint initiatives.

The four representatives discussed aspects of national, European, Mexican and international politics.

For around two years, Mexico’s diplomatic representation in Portugal was not headed by an Ambassador.
