Before finishing their respective missions in Lisbon, the Ambassadors of Uruguay, José Ignacio Korzeniak, and Italy, Renato Varriale, were honored with the IPDAL – Vista Alegre award.
On September 2nd, the two diplomats praised the work of IPDAL and referred to the close collaboration with which they worked with the Institute, on the most varied occasions. The President of IPDAL, Paulo Neves, praised the dedication with which the two ambassadors carried out their duties in Portugal and the unquestionable support they always gave to the Institute.
At the recently opened Porto Bay Liberdade hotel, several ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Lisbon, both from Latin America and Europe, were present, the President of Camões – Institute of Cooperation and Language, the Director of the Office of the European Parliament in Lisbon, the advisor to the President of the Republic for International Relations, the diplomatic deputy of the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, the Director of the Instituto Cervantes in Lisbon, among several other members and Friends of IPDAL.
At the end of the ceremony, the administrator of the Porto Bay Group and former Secretary of State for Tourism, Bernardo Trindade, accompanied the guests on a personalized visit to the hotel’s various spaces and offered a cocktail on the terrace.
