The leader of the Social Democratic Party, Pedro Passos Coelho, met this Monday with Latin American ambassadors and members of IPDAL at a meeting organized by the Institute for the Promotion and Development of Latin America (IPDAL).

In his intervention, Pedro Passos Coelho, spoke of the importance of Portugal’s relations with Latin America. He said that Portugal must strengthen these relations. Regarding the academic environment, he highlighted the importance of Universities in national life.

He also made reference to the current economic situation in Portugal. Diplomats, academics, journalists, and other personalities linked to Latin America were present at the meeting.

Pedro Passos Coelho also praised the role of IPDAL in creating bridges between Portugal and the Nations of Latin America.
