The Republic of Chile awarded Portuguese businessman Américo Amorim the Grand Officer Bernardo O’Higgins Order.

IPDAL was represented by its President and Vice-President of the board.

In his speech, Américo Amorim recalled the business he has been doing with Chile since the 1950s.

Ambassador Ayala recalled that half of Portuguese exports to Chile are the responsibility of Américo Amorim’s companies. The decoration took place on May 26, 2010.
