The Institute carried out another institutional and business trip with ambassadors from Latin America.

The delegation participated in the 44th Congress of the Portuguese Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies ( APAVT ), the largest national meeting in the sector. Between the 22nd and 24th of November, IPDAL hosted a stand to promote Latin American tourist destinations, delivering materials and talking to travel agents, tour operators, airlines and hotel groups present.

In Ponta Delgada, IPDAL and the Latin American Ambassadors were also received by the Regional Government of the Azores and the Mayor of Ponta Delgada.

In partnership with the Ponta Delgada Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Caixa Geral de Depósitos, a business forum where companies in the region heard from diplomatic representatives a description of their respective economies and business opportunities.

The visit also highlighted several cultural moments and tourist visits to what is considered one of the most important destinations in the country.
