Wildiley Barroca is a young African leader engaged in promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Pan-Africanism. Founder of the National Youth Parliament for Water of São Tomé and Príncipe. He was the focal point of the Network of Young Leaders for the Sustainable Management of Forest Ecosystems in Central Africa (REJEFAC), the first young Santomean person to join the World Youth Parliament for Water, as well as the Pan-African Youth Union, the African Union’s Consultative Body in youth matters, having served as Advisor for Communication and Public Relations and later as Vice President, General Coordinator for Central Africa.
He was President of the Youth Literary and Artistic Union – ULAJE Club UNESCO (2008-2011); President of the National Youth Parliament for Water of São Tomé and Príncipe (2011-2014); Secretary for Culture and Sports of the National Youth Council (2011-2014); President of the National Youth Council of São Tomé and Príncipe (2014-2018); Advisor for Communication and Public Relations of the Pan-African Youth Union, Central Africa Coordination (2011-2014) and African Youth Ambassador in office at the Pan-African Youth Union where he served as Vice-President, Coordinator for Central Africa ( 2014-2018). He was also a Consultant to the Superior Press Council of São Tomé and Príncipe (2017), Vice-President of the French Alliance (2017-2019) and Advisor for Parliamentary Affairs to the XVI Constitutional Government of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe (2018), Secretary -general of the National Union of Writers and Artists of São Tomé and Príncipe (2020), Consultant/Representative of the Professional Training Center for the Footwear Industry of Portugal in São Tomé and Príncipe (2020-2023).
He is the author of the work Troubles of Minh’ Wandering Soul – the author’s first work launched at the Complexo Cultural dos Barris in Salvador – Bahia, Brazil; Author of the work “ John Paul II or the Saint of Youth ”; Co-author of the work “ Moi Président” released on March 15, 2017 in France and co-author of the work “ Multicultural Poetry ”, launched in July 2019 in Portugal; Co-author of the work “The Teaching Law in the Countries of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) ” released on March 27, 2021 in Brazil; and Co-Author of the Work “ WE HAVE A DREAM”, launched in July 2021 in Japan;
His career, engagement with African youth and advocacy on issues linked to Sustainable Development allowed him to be selected by Africa Diligence , among the 69 most influential young leaders on the African continent to talk about the contours of Emerging Africa, and the book was published in France, on March 15, 2017. Still in 2017, it was distinguished by PositiveYouthAfrica Magazine as one of the most influential young people on the African continent, highlighting his youth and association leadership work in member countries of the African Union.
He currently works in the area of Diplomacy and International Trade and is CEO & Founder at WildGroup International Sarl.
